Union Payroll Specialist II

Job Summary:

Prepare and submit weekly union payroll for the GPX Company. Correct all errors discovered in union payroll or payments, prepare union payments on a timely basis. Assemble and prepare all union audit documents for review. Provide union footnote data for annual review statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather all union time sheets, review for accuracy,
• Submit time, deductions, payments, and job costs to management for review and approval,
• Enter the approved time into CRITERION for processing into payroll stubs.
• Prepare direct deposit csv sheet for upload to bank,
• Prepare weekly union payroll checks within CRITERION,
• Prepare and submit Union Fringe reports for management review,
• Maintain payroll records, such as new hires, union rates and pension documents,
• Prepare union audit information for management review prior to audit,
• Prepare union dues, garnishments, and other deduction paperwork for payment.
• Manage payroll related audits including union, governmental or other
• Assist in data gathering for year-end reporting

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
• Organized and detail oriented
• Understanding of payroll and tax regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with basic to intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Understanding of union regulations and requirements
• Criterion experience a plus
